Since 1990, the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL) has empowered people with all types of disabilities to achieve independence and live their dreams. LVCIL provides four core services for its consumers living in Lehigh and Northampton counties: Information & Referral, Peer Support, Advocacy, and Independent Living Skills Education. The organization also provides housing case management, supportive services for Veterans, landlord education, 24-hour sign language services, transition services for youth with disabilities, pre-vocational skills development, employment services and job coaching, waiver supports coordination, ADA accessibility site surveys, adaptive sports programming, community education, and more. Many of LVCIL’s additional services are offered in Berks, Carbon, Monroe, Pike and surrounding counties.
